KenGen upholds strong corporate governance built on integrity, accountability, fairness, and transparency. We follow the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) Code of Corporate Governance Practices and the Code of Governance for State Corporations, ensuring responsible leadership and ethical decision-making across the business.

Our governance structure includes the Annual General Meeting, the Board of Directors for oversight, and the Executive Committee for strategy and operations. We also implement ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards, GRI 2021 standards and NSE ESG Disclosure Guidance manual 2021 reflecting our commitment to excellence and sustainable management. 

KenGen actively supports the Capital Markets Master Plan, contributing to the development of Kenya’s capital markets and long-term national funding solutions.
