Our Calibration Centre provides specialized calibration, testing, and measurement assurance services to support the reliable operation of power generation and industrial systems. Located at the Tana Power Station, the state-of-the-art facility serves both KenGen’s internal operations and external clients across the energy and industrial sectors.
The centre offers precision calibration services for a wide range of instruments used in hydropower, geothermal, wind, solar, and other industrial applications. These include volumetric flow meters used to measure river water, seawater, clean liquids, and oils with low particulate content, as well as torque calibration for torque wrenches, temperature calibration for sensors and measurement devices, and pressure calibration for gauges and transmitters.
In addition, the facility provides electronic and electrical calibration services for multimeters, current and voltage sources, and signal testing equipment. Advanced electrical testing and frequency calibration capabilities support equipment such as insulation resistance meters, oscilloscopes, power quality analyzers, and frequency counters. Through these services, the Calibration Centre helps organizations maintain measurement accuracy, ensure regulatory compliance, improve equipment reliability, and support safe and efficient plant operations.
