The project entails redevelopment and expansion of existing 2 Gogo Hypro powerplant along River Kuja in Nyatike, Migori County.

This will involve desilting of the existing reservoir, Rehabilitation of the existing dam structure, construction of a new powerhouse that will house 2 × 4.3 MW Kaplan turbines and construction of a new substation.

Upon competition, the project is expected to positively impact grid stability in Western Kenya Region.
