This is a wind project leveraging on IEC Class Ia windspeed (harsh wind regime) in identified parts of Marsabit County. It comprises of 1,000 MW wind project which will be implemented in phases with Phase I having 200 MW Wind Farm and a transmission line connecting to 400 kV substation at Lake Turkana Wind Farm. Upon completion, the project will greatly contribute in meeting increased power demand on the grid and it will be testament of KenGen’s Vision of being the market leader in provision of renewable energy solutions
