Wind power or wind energy is the use of air flow through wind turbines to generate electricity. Wind power is a sustainable and renewable energy and has become popular across the world over the recent years. Today, KenGen has about 26MW of wind energy which is about 2% of its total installed capacity. KenGen’s wind farm in Ngong hills was the first one to be developed in East Africa.
